BE Netz integrates battery storage into a complete system made up of a photovoltaic installation, a heat pump and a charging station. The storage unit can be equipped with backup power capability: during a grid outage it automatically disconnects from the grid and builds its own house network, which keeps being charged by the solar system. The company monitors and controls the energy flows in real time.
